In this workshop, you will explore basic concepts for successful, long-term fund development. Topics will include identifying prospects and cultivating relationships, selecting the appropriate solicitation strategies, engaging your board, building your organization’s development operation, and developing a plan that creates ownership and produces results.

Furthermore, you will learn the meaning of fund development terms, explore various fund raising philosophies, and find out where to get the information that will make your organization’s fund development plan a success.

Trainer: Simone P. Joyaux

Simone P. Joyaux, ACFRE, does training and consulting for all types and sizes of organizations and has a long history of working with small and emerging organizations. Simone’s areas of expertise include fund development, board development, planning, and management. She has worked with faith-based organizations and developed and delivered training programs for the National Federation of Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers.

Simone is founder and chair of the Women’s Fund of Rhode Island and was awarded Rhode Island’s Outstanding Philanthropic Citizen in 2003. Simone is recognized internationally as an author and teacher, presenting at conferences around the world.
