Introduction to Grantwriting

Wednesday, April 9, 2008

This workshop will help you give foundations the information they need to decide whether to fund your organization’s work. You will review all the parts of a private foundation grant application — including the budget. We will look at the difference between general and project funding, funder-directed initiatives, and collaborations. Hands on exercises will include writing about your organization’s work, describing your community/constituency, and setting your goals, objectives, outcomes and benchmarks. Each organization will come away with a specially designed, self -calculating Excel budget planning worksheet.
