Workshop description:

This workshop will strengthen and build upon basic grant writing fundamentals. Participants will improve their skills and gain confidence in designing program and organizational budgets and in evaluation. Additionally, using the Associated Grant Makers’ Common Proposal Form as a guide, we will review key sections and learn tips and advice on writing effectively. This training will also include an expert-facilitated peer review in which participants write and review a section of their own grant-proposal-in-process. Please bring your proposal (in-progress or completed) with you to the training.

Trainer: Sue Karant, Karant & Associates

Sue Karant has over 30 years experience in the nonprofit sector as a manager, development director, trainer and consultant. Since founding her consulting business Karant & Associates in 1986, she has succeeded in helping a wide variety of non-profit organizations design new and successful ways to sustain their organizations and plan for the future. Sue is a seasoned fundraiser in her own right, having raised millions of dollars for organizations locally, regionally and nationally. The majority of her clients are small and moderate sized community-based organizations. She has taught fundraising at the Southern New Hampshire University/ School for Community Economic Development, Tufts University Lincoln Filene Center and Lesley College.
